Sept 2011-First day of school-surfing!

Kennidy, Madison, and Carter were so excited to go with our neighbors after school (it was early out) and try out their new surfboards on the nice long, easy breaks at Doheny Beach!

Madison rode in on her knees once and Carter even tried going out on his body board:)

Sept 2011-Talent Show

Our neighbors invited our kids to perform in their 'DJ Dance' number for the church talent show and although Kennidy and Madison were already doing a piano duet, they were far more excited about the colored hairspray and Rock star outfits!

Sept 2011-things we will miss....

Our first official night in the apartment was September 19, although we started moving things in Friday the 16th. Those last few days at the house Carter spent the entire time in the backyard! He loves to climb our trees and hook up ropes to transport items--like 'Buddy the Bear' who we got the 'opportunity' to share and report back on the EXACT week we were moving! Our kids were also very sad to leave our neighbors who they played with almost daily!

Sept 2011-Birthday parties and Sunday drives

After a Saturday night meeting for church, a bunch of friends met at Claim Jumper to celebrate Bethany's birthday. I love these casual little night outs where we can chat and laugh with friends and their husbands.:)

Sunday afternoons have now become 'Open House' tours around town while we look for our future home! We try to give the kids a break at any park we see as they are not so excited about the home tours:). This Sunday we even got to see the HUgE Harley Davidson riders meeting up at our very own Cooks Corner, we had no idea people drive hours on their motorcycles to come here!

Sept 2011-Lost teeth & goodbye toys

Carter made the best before and after shots EVER as I pulled out his first wiggly tooth with dental floss! After learning my lesson on Kennidy, we now use the dental floss trick and it works every time!

As we prepared for our move, the kids said goodbye to their beloved trampoline and the girls packed up almost every toy except their American girl dolls--which they had to play with in the garage where we kept all the clutter:(.

Sept 2011-First Day of School!

Kennidy is going into middle school this year as a 6th grader and I can't believe how she already changing--growing up too fast! Madison is an excited 4th grader and Carter is MORE than ready for his first day of kindergarten! And the weather was still nice enough after school that day that we snuck off to the beach to surf with our neighbors!

Sept 2011-New Party Dish idea from mom

My mom gave me Grandma Julia's old glass snack sets from her parties back in the day and we realized they could be the start of a great collection! I started with four plates and matching glasses and now with mom and dad's excellent antique shopping skills I have enough for a house party of 25! They are so much more elegant than paper plates and more economical than buying those clear plastic ones! I am so excited to use them:). If only I didn't have to put them in storage...
