May 2011-Memorial Day weekend!

It's not often that we have a holiday weekend all to ourselves without a trip planned somewhere or house guests planned sometime! So we spent it doing some of our favorite things....

Lowe's craft--all four of our kids' favorite Saturday activity with Dad! (not so bad for mom either while the whole family is away:)




Hitting one of 7 local pools to cool off after work projects!



Spending time at the beach with friends--Madison and Kelsey stayed with us while their parents were in utah! What's two more kiddos? :)

May 2011--Lunch with my Laurels And other cuties!

McKinley and Lauren are just 2 weeks apart an have so much fun together!


It was fun for me to see some of my old girls--has it really been 5 years since they were in high school? Crazy that they are married or graduating or having their own kids too!!

May 2011-Anniversary #14 for chris and I!

Chris and I took a little trip to Huntington Beach while one of my favorite old laurels, Mallorie, watched our four kids overnight! The Hyatt hotel was right on the beach and dinner downtown was a blast! These short getaways are a perfect break for me these days cuz the kids r growing up so fast I don't want to miss a thing....but it's so good to remind ourselves what dating was like:)!




The kids surprised us when we got home--first time we ever remember them remembering our special day too!




McKinley celebrated our actual anniversary day with us--breakfast at bagels and brew while the rest of the kids were at school!

May 2011- Summer is here!

McKinley used her birthday money to get a fun little plasma car on a screaming deal at Costco!





Chris is even enjoying McKinley's new toy too!




Taught my girls how to cut and arrange roses so we can have fresh flowers on the table this summer. Madi is getting pretty good!

May 2011- Afternoon Family Dance Troop

Kennidy has already convinced McKinley that she is a dance star at three! Chris and I love to watch their backyard performances!

May 2011-Mission High Beauty&Beast play

Kennidy has had a little acting bug since her school play so we were excited to cheer for our friends in their high school play. Amazing performance, great sets, gorgeous voices!

May 2011-Kim's Baby shower!

A few friends and I threw a baby shower for one of my old young women at my house. My lemon cupcakes from scratch flopped but the chocolate mix from Costco was a hit! :) Making the puff balls was easy after buying the tissue paper from the dollar store but folding them took forever!
