June 2011-graduations and parties!

McKinley and Carter hosted their last playgroup with all their friends.


Can't believe our little Kennidy graduated from Elementary school this year with sixth graders going to middle school in our district. It sure seems early but Kennidy is very excited! I got to help at her fifth grade field day party while my girlfriend watched my two littles.



We hosted a little pool party at our neighborhood pool with a few if our friends! It's always fun to kick off the summer this way...






Carter got to have a few private lessons with his swim team instructor Alia as none of the other students showed up that day! His swimming skills have just taken off in the last month since he started swimming with dolphin Aquatics every day for 45 mins as part of his swim team training! He can even do the butterfly stroke!

June 19, 2011--Fathers day walk in park

Chris's favorite thing to do on Sunday afternoon is take a 'stroll' with the kids and he is always showing us new trails! (finding a free Sunday afternoon is a little tricky with his new calling in the bishopric though...) This stroll turned out to be at least 3.5 miles round trip so we could almost call it a hike! While we walked, we sent pictures of the pretty flowers we saw to the grandparents for help in naming them. The kids loved this game and the best part was when Chris pushed them sky high in the swings:).

June 2011-fathers day party weekend!

It all started with a rented convertible and a babysitter:). Chris had some great ideas on how he wanted to spend his father's day weekend so we packed it all in from five pm Friday till one pm Saturday!! His little brother called it our 'high school throwback date'....either that or a mid-life crisis I responded:)





Then we ate sushi with friends!








And my favorite part of all--Finally after almost twenty years.... a U2 concert! 360 degree tour in Angels stadium!




Our seats were awesome and the music was even better!

That night we stayed at a hotel so that early the next morning we could leave for the MUD RUN down at Camp Pendleton! It's only a 10k but going thru all the obstacles really made me nervous!





Well, we survived and our team finished in 1hr14min--(cuz they were waiting for me:). That was the before picture...and here is the after shot!

June 2011- pool parties & photos in the paper!

We love family nights by the pool with friends--that's what summer is all about!



Our girls were so excited to see their picture in the paper! It made attending the city's memorial day services with their dad all the more memorable!

June 2011-Carter's first tball season ends

Carter is already asking when he can sign up again! Chris got to pitch to him instead of hit off the t the last game of the season and he hit it awesome!

June 2011-Madison volleyball ends

Madison played two sessions of volleyball this winter/spring and the second time I was a co-coach! So fun to be on the court cheering her and her friends on!



Although u can see in this video, I get a little carried away cheering sometimes:)....

June 10, 2011-cousin Michael wedding reception!

Summer wedding fun with cousin michael and his new wife! So fun to see all the Sheflo family!

June 2011-McKinley swim lessons

My girlfriend Bethany teaches the best private swim lessons! She had McKinley swimming across the pool by day 3:)!





Of course the fact that McKinley has no fear of the water helps too:). She just turned 3 in march!






This is what she learned in case she ever falls into the deep end!

June 2011-houseguests & school performances

Chris's cousins from Arizona came to stay with us and it was a party with their six kids and our four! We had tons of fun at the beach and the pool, but somehow this is the only picture I got:).


Kennidy performed with the fifth grade orchestra and played her violin so well--second year done!



Madison performed the solar system play with her 3rd grade class.


And after school Madison showed her baby sister off to all her friends on the playground! So sweet:)

June 2011-end of year playdates!

We have a few friends with two girls the same ages as Kennidy and Madison so it was easy to have the sisters over to play after school!





Somehow their play dates always ended up with American Idol contests on the karaoke machine in the garage:).






And u can't have American idol without the judges!





Carter and McKinley had their own end of the year party with preschool friends at their very favorite place--Chuck E. Cheese!
