August 2011-Lake Tahoe Cousin Love

The best part about spending a whole week in one house with 28 people is the BONDiNG that goes on. At the end of the week, goodbyes are hard and none of our children wanted to leave their cousins.

August 2011-Lake Tahoe Water Skiing

After Renting the paddle boards, Chris decided our next adventure would be to rent water skiis and teach the kids to ride behind the jet skiis! Madison and Kennidy both gave it a good try and eventually got up--if only for a few seconds! :) Chris actually had me try and show them how to get up, so I got my own 15 seconds of fame. Dad and mom just loved to 'soul ride' on the jet skiis....

August 2011-Lake Tahoe Paddle Boarding

The conditions were perfect--sunny skies and calm waters! But that didn't make paddle boarding for our first time any easier! We had so much fun watching each other tip over:).

August 2011-Lake Tahoe Paddle boarding!

Chris and I wanted to try paddle boarding on the lake like Jenni and Kylie had done. So we rented two paddle boards and had the whole family try them.

August 2011-Lake Tahoe Emerald Bay

Chris and I loved our turn with Ryan and Jenni taking the jet skis out on the calm early morning water to see Emerald bay at sunrise. We even anchored our skiis for a bit and explored the island there!

August 2011-Lake Tahoe Piñata party!

Dad and mom (or Mamo and Grandpa) planned a few fun surprises for the kids, but the favorite by far was the piñata they brought! All the cousins took turns swinging while Johnny pulled the string to tease them:).
McKinley made us all laugh....

August 2011-Lake Tahoe-just hanging out!

The favorite activity for all the adults was just hanging out on the deck watching the kids play and catching up on all the lost time since our family stretches from Oregon to California to Utah to Boston! We all took turns holding our two favorite babies, Ty Eric and Liv Ryan!

Carter's favorite thing at the museum was the moving rock wall that he and Austin took turns conquering!

August 2011-Lake Tahoe-Day Trip

One of the days, Mom and Dad and Brycen and Lori and my two littles and I took a trip to the neighboring town to hit up a children's museum, a money collector shop, and of course Costco! Chris and our older kids wanted to stay and enjoy the water:)
