November 2011-Thanksgiving in Cali

We celebrated Thanksgiving at home this year with a big dinner at Uncle Larry and Aunt Mary's house. My good friend Bethany helped us make our rolls to bring for dinner and everyone loved them! Our favorite Nelson slush drink mix wasn't as big of a hit but that's okay!;) Thanksgiving morning we did our own family Turkey Trot and ran around RSM Lake with the kids for at least a mile or two.  Then we got dressed up and escaped the apartment to see family at Aunt Mary's and Uncle Larry's house. Our kids are starting to have lots of fun with Trisha's kiddos!

November 2011- Surprise parties and Lazer tag

We had so much fun at the surprise party April threw for Garrick's 40th Bday! We had a delicious catered dinner at a darling home on Lido island.
Another night I took my 4 kids and 4 others to play lazer tag for their first time to help out my friend Heather, it was an experience none of us will forget!
This fall I have also had a lot of fun with McKinley while the big kids are away at school, one of her favorite activities is taking books to and from the library:) I also let her choose her own outfits once in awhile and this cheerleader dress was one of her favorites!! We have fun picking Carter up early from school each day after kindergarten! She loves to play with him and his friends after school.

November 2011-a bit about Madi!

Madison has had a lot of fun experiences her 4th grade year! She ran for student council rep for her class and won! She came up with ideas for her poster and speech all by herself! She also got to attend a super birthday party for her friend, Gracyn at the American Girl Store in LA! Madi's favorite thing About palm Springs was

Cousin Chloe. Madi is also still losing teeth and loving her last few months in activity days with Kennidy as she graduates soon....We also have figured out creative ways to do apartment play dates! She and her friend Kelsey also love dressing up, especially in my clothes!

November 2011-Chris's guys weekend!

Each fall, my brothers and Chris always find a way to work in a BYU football game a little 'guy time'! This year they added a trip to the shooting range! Chris was thrilled how he did compared to my 'farm-raised' brothers:)

November 2011-Annual visit from the Nelson's!

Our kids just love it when our cousins take their annual trip down to their Palm Springs house and stop in for a visit! This year was a little more 'adventurous' than last year as it rained a lot and we were still in our apartment!! We did find one sunny day to rent surreys on the beach! And on the rainy days--The kids did a free basketball camp and they LOvED doing Lowe's craft science experiments! Kennidy and Ali even made 'how to videos'!

October 2011-Halloween Night!

Since we were all a little nervous to trick or treat at our apartments, we headed back to our old neighborhood on Halloween night. The kids loved seeing all their friends and stopping at our two favorite haunted houses! Even McKinley went in this year! And the next day we got to help Heather throw a little birthday celebration for Adam since things were kinda crazy over at their house during that time...

October 2011-Carter's 6th Birthday!

Carter woke up to a table full of Cars themed surprises! He got a laser-remote control car and a new soccer ball. For his party, we took 3 friends to Downtown Disney to Ridemakerz where they each got to design and build their own cars! A perfect boy activity! Afterwards, they ate pretzels and icees, Carter's favorite!
