July 4, 2011-Eric's firework show

This picture is of Kate and Camryn hiding inside the house after the first big one went off, so cute! And so very different from my own children.... Later that same night my son Carter tried to light a flower firework while it was STILL in his HAND and dropped it just before it blew as my brother Loren yelled "drop that now Carter!!". Thank heavens for little brothers....of course it was actually one of my other little brothers who showed Carter how to light the fireworks in the first place!!!




This was my favorite picture of the night--Camryn with her noise-canceling headphones!




Due to all the rain in Utah this year, even the crazy airborne fireworks were legal! My kids were so excited to hold burning sparklers for the first time! But they especially loved the HUGE rocket fireworks called 'cakes' that John and Eric spent a fortune on so we could have a private show as fantastic as the public one!!

July 4,2011-Provo parade

Would u believe it if I told u my brother paid someone $100 to get us this prime seating for the Provo Freedom Parade? Of course he did....and I have to admit it was well worth the twenty bucks we each chipped in to get all our little ones up front without camping out the night before:). Carter's favorite float was the Star Wars storm troopers and Madison loved the horses and McKinley the princesses, Kennidy enjoyed the cotton candy i let her buy....it was our first fourth of july parade in a long time and we loved it!!

July 4, 2011-Family bike ride to parade!

My brother John and his wife Kylie were so awesome to help us borrow bikes so our whole family could ride to the parade in Provo!


We only had one casualty as I realized too late that Madison had never been on a bike with gears and hand brakes.....just a few minutes into our ride I watched in horror as she hit the end of the bridge and flipped over her handlebars!! It was a miracle she walked away with only a few scrapes and bruises and a bent tire rim! This picture was at the scene of the crime just after it happened....

July 3, 2011-Utah trip, baby Ty blessing!

We love playing with our cousins Kate and Camryn at their house in Utah. How fun to walk to church and be in town for Ty Eric's baby blessing!











I also love getting to see all of my cousins who are in college when we visit Utah!

June 2011-first week of summer!

Mission lake swimming with friends...



Squishing four kids in the back seat of the Acura while the sequoia gets new tires. It reminds us to be grateful for our big 'mom car'.


Summer projects....like re-organizing my master bedroom closet.


(later i found out from the staging company that i even needed to get my shoes up off the floor too!)

June 29,2011-Carter's 1st swim meet!

We signed up all 3 of our kids for the first inter-squad meet of the summer with Dolphin Aquatics. I realized just as they were lining our swimmers up at the start of the meet that Carter had never been taught how to use a starting block or even how to dive into the pool! I cringed as I watched him do his first belly-flop from the block and then surface and start swimming his freestyle race like crazy!! What a trooper! I was so glad to have our friends, April and Garrick, there also with their kids as it was chaos keeping track of three kids with three different events each! (chris was out of town since it was a midweek meet :( but we sent him the victory pics!!

Carter was able to swim in his six and under age group so he got another ribbon and Madison swam in her 8 and under division so she got her usual first place ribbons!



Kennidy even surprised us with a second place finish while swimming against other girls her age who train year-round!

June 2011-little rock chicks!

Our girls new favorite thing to do is make Rock videos on the computer while playing i tunes songs. Of course they taught it to their friends who visited, kiara and Kendra and our neighbor friend Rachel!!




And whenever I take them shopping, it becomes a huge fashion show. Here they are posing with their friends Kelsey and Madison at the new H&M store in mission mall.




And of course, McKinley can't be left out of all the fun!

June 2011--babysit baby Ty!

My little brother Eric and his friends had a luxury car show at my house while dropping off 5 week old Ty. So fun to see them and snuggle a brand new baby while they hit the angels game:)
